Project Brief

Locate Estate Agents came to us with a rough idea of how they wanted the footage to reflect the service she provide at. The use of location shots paired with text and titles to convey the information would be essential. Clean shots in and around residential areas were all ideas that were thrown around quite frequently at the brainstorming session so with all that in mind we began the pre-production process.

The Process

Pre-production – We started by finding multiple locations in and around Urmston to film at and the appropriate shots we would need from inside their office . The locations needed to be around the local area close to the office to give an idea of what properties are available from the estate agents. Flora and fauna and lots sunlight were all a must to create a vibrant final outcome.

After visiting multiple  locations and taking some test footage we formed a storyboard and shot list adding in notes on what kind of props and setup would be needed for the office setting.

Shoot – We filmed over the course of the day and shot various locations with multiple takes. All the footage was filmed on a single rig consisting of a Sony A7r3 camera with a 35mm lens. The camera was mounted on a manfroto tripod for the stable static shots and a DJI Ronin Gimbal for all the free hand shots. We rapped up filming and checked the footage to make sure we had all the shots listed on our shot list and storyboard.

Post Production – We edited the footage we had obtained from the shoot in Cut Pro. We filmed in 4k 60fps to create a high res final result that would be used on Locate Estate Agents website and social media. The additional test and information was inserted over the relevant frames with smooth transitions in between clips. The video was then colour graded to safe industry standard levels. Several edits were then created for the client to look at and then choose the one he liked the best.
